What Does The Child And His Teddy Bear Have In Common With The Smoker And His Smokes?
Kids and their Teddy Bears
When a child is getting ready to go to bed and they have their favourite stuffed toy or blanket in their hand it seems as though their feelings of wellbeing and comfort are coming from the Teddy Bear. I really looks like that. The child is feeling lovely lovely feelings and is full of peace and calm. The child actually thinks that it feels good because they have their favourite stuffed animal accompanying them to bed. Now we as adults know that this is just not the case and its not true that a stuffed toy can make a child feel happy, but the child thinks and believes this is so and so we play along.
Now if you were ever to go away on holiday and forget to bring the attached stuffed toy the child would probably freak out at bedtime, especially if they are very attached to the Teddy or whatever it happens to be. And it kinda seems to the child that he or she is suffering from a Teddy Bear deficiency, it really does seem like that to the child. Their feeling of stress or anxiety are coming from a lack of the Bear.
But we know as crafty adults that 100% of those feelings of comfort and security and wellbeing are actually coming from within the child, and that none of those feelings are coming from the stuffed Bear. You could actually test this if you were mean enough to by taking a bunch of children and giving them each a different soft cuddly toy. you could give one a soft rabbit, another a stuffed Osama Bin Laden, another a stuffed Donald Trump. another a Hitler doll you could give them all those different dolls and they would all feel feeling of comfort and security and 100% of those feeling would come from inside the child himself and not the stuffed toy.
So we know its got nothing to do with the Teddy Bear and that its got everything to do with what the child is thinking. Those feeling of comfort, peace and joy are all coming from within the psyche of the child.
Now if the penny has not already dropped let me enlighten you. The Child believes and thinks he needs his Teddy Bear to go to sleep at night. He also believes and thinks that if this Teddy was to become lost or taken away that he would suffer from Teddy Bear deprivation and become anxious and upset. Now as i stated earlier that we as crafty adults know that none of this is true and that in fact all feelings of happiness, calm and security come from inside a person and not an inanimate object.
